The Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative

Medicare rebates may be available to assist you to pay for your treatment. You must be referred by your GP, who will conduct a mental health assessment to assess whether you are eligible to receive rebates under the initiative. From 1 November, the Federal Government made changes to this program, so that eligible patients may receive up to 10 individual services per calendar year.
