Dawn is a Clinical Psychologist experienced in working with young people and adults presenting with a range of psychological difficulties. She also combines her training in both organisational and clinical psychology to assist executives and business clients.
Dawn works collaboratively to achieve goals aimed at improving psychological wellbeing and promoting growth. She draws from various models of therapy but primarily works within a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) framework to understand the current concerns and how these might be maintained. More importantly, she enjoys supporting clients to better understand their own challenges, whilst shaping their map of how to navigate through them. Dawn is passionate about covering practical ways for clients to get back on track and to achieve their goals.
Dawn has worked in a wide range of clinical, organisational and academic settings during her career, including health psychology, addiction services, business consultancy, a psychosis research trial, developing online wellbeing programs, an inpatient burns ward, neurorehabilitation and a hospital epilepsy team. Following her clinical training she has primarily worked in private practice and academia, contributing to both the supervision and teaching of postgraduate psychology students.
She completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology, a Master of Science in Organisational Psychology and Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at the University of Manchester in the UK.
