About Hui

Hui is a Clinical Psychologist experienced in working with children and adults on a range of psychological presentations. Working within a cognitive-behavioural framework, Hui incorporates mindfulness, compassion, acceptance, values, strength-focused and positive psychology.

Beyond dealing with difficulties, she also focuses on helping clients develop a strong foundation for wellbeing that empowers them to meet their challenges with confidence, and to live joyfully with purpose.

Hui completed her clinical training and was awarded her PhD by The University of Queensland in 2009 for her research on the use of CBT to treat anxiety and depression with adolescents with Asperger’s Syndrome.

Since completing her PhD, Hui worked in a range of clinical settings with children, adults and families in universities, hospitals, and an Autism Spectrum Condition Specialist clinic. She has also worked on a number of research projects investigating help seeking behaviours among employees, treatment of comorbid depression and alcohol, online psychological programs and delivery of mindfulness programs.
