I am a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist who values building genuine rapport and trust with clients. Since becoming a registered psychologist in 2013, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan—from children to older adults—in a variety of settings, including hospitals (inpatient and outpatient), child development assessment services, correctional facilities (both low and high risk), home-based care and private practice. I support clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, as well as those with different neurotypes, bodies, genders, and sexual identities, bringing a respectful and inclusive approach to all therapeutic work. I have a strong background in integrated care and take a holistic view of health and wellbeing.
I have a particular interest in supporting adults living with both physical health conditions and mental health challenges. My experience in health psychology includes working with people affected by a wide range of medical conditions, including Oncology, Haematology, Gynae-Oncology, Palliative Care, Urology, and a broad range of Autoimmune conditions such as Type 1 Diabetes, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Thyroid Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis. I also support clients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Liver Disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Chronic Pain (Musculoskeletal, Neurological, and Pelvic), Neurological and Neurodegenerative conditions, Dysautonomia, Cardiac and Kidney Disease, and other complex or life-limiting illnesses.
In addition to my clinical experience, I have lived with Type 1 Diabetes for over 32 years – a non-preventable, irreversible and lifelong autoimmune disease caused by the body’s immune system mistakenly attacking and destroying the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas – and have manually and continuously managed complex insulin requirements and disease-related complications. This lived experience gives me a personal understanding of the daily realities and challenges of living with a chronic illness.
Another special interest of mine is working with adults experiencing anxiety-related conditions such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Panic Attack, Health Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Specific Phobias, Adjustment Disorders and comorbid Anxiety and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I work with those experiencing both acute episodes of anxiety, often triggered by significant stressors or life changes, and those managing chronic, long-standing anxiety patterns.
I especially enjoy supporting young adults as they navigate the many pressures and transitions of modern life. This stage of life often brings significant challenges, such as managing academic or career demands, building relationships, developing self-identity, and balancing independence with wellbeing. I’m passionate about helping young people build emotional resilience, strengthen their sense of self, and develop practical strategies to manage mood, anxiety and stress, so they can grow with confidence and thrive as they step into adulthood and beyond.
I provide psychological support to professionals across a wide range of fields—including, but not limited to, medical students, doctors in specialist training, medical practitioners/consultants, allied health professionals, emergency services, lawyers, government workers and other professionals navigating high-pressure careers. I also support members of the Queensland Police Service through the QPS Funded Early Intervention Treatment Program. To access this program, please consult with a QPS Human Services Officer.
I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions from early morning to late evenings to accommodate clients across Queensland and beyond. My practice is accessible and welcoming to individuals with diverse needs and life circumstances.
