About Sarah

Sarah is passionate about helping clients achieve meaningful connections, assisting them to reconnect and work towards developing closer, stronger and more secure relationships with others. It is her aim to support clients to overcome struggles, feel fulfilled and develop enhanced self-compassion, irrespective of adversity.

Sarah has worked with couples, families and individuals experiencing:

  • relationship adjustment difficulties during transition points e.g., marriage, parenthood, career change, retirement;
  • periods of relationship distress e.g., coping with affairs, relationship break-ups, blending stepfamilies;
  • sexual difficulties.

Sarah is also a trained Prepare and Enrich pre-marital counselling facilitator. Additionally, she is experienced in the clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety and depression, as well as developing conflict resolution and communication skills.

Sarah is committed to the use of evidence-based treatments within a positive, collaborative framework. Sarah works with clients to understand their fundamental needs and develop appropriate action to see these met. Therapy is shaped by clients’ goals and she is dedicated to supporting her clients to achieve them.

Sarah completed a Master of Psychology (Counselling) at the University of Queensland. She received the Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence and was awarded membership of the Golden Key International Honour Society, which is only available to the top 15% of students.
