I am a Registered Psychologist with over 8 years of experience working with adolescents and adults in mental health. I was born and raised in Indonesia, but Brisbane has been my home for the past 14 years.
I have a special interest and vast experience in supporting adolescents and adults through various life challenges and mental health concerns. My expertise includes helping clients manage:
I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their challenges and work towards their goals. My therapeutic style integrates evidence-based approaches while remaining warm and collaborative, with a focus on building strong therapeutic relationships where clients feel understood and supported.
I can conduct therapy in English and Indonesian.
Having experienced the journey of cultural adaptation myself, I bring a deep understanding and sensitivity to working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. I provide culturally informed therapy and am experienced in working with clients across various cultural contexts and sexual identities. I understand the unique challenges that come with navigating multiple cultural identities and life transitions.
I particularly enjoy helping clients develop practical skills they can apply in their daily lives, especially in their professional development and career journeys. As we spend a significant part of our lives at work, I understand how crucial career satisfaction is to overall wellbeing and mental health. My goal as a therapist is to empower clients with the tools and insights they need to make meaningful changes in their lives and develop greater self-understanding.
I was recently honoured to co-author a study published in Nature Human Behaviour, one of the world’s top psychology journals. Our research looked at how education can help people think more clearly and avoid common thinking traps. Being part of this project was exciting because it reflects my passion for bringing the latest science into my work. I aim to use these evidence-based insights to support my clients in making clearer decisions and creating positive changes in their lives. Click below to read the publication.
“As a psychologist, I consider myself like the GPS. You will be driving and letting me know where you would like us to go, a.k.a. your therapeutic goals. I will provide you with different pathways you can take to get you there”.
