If you need help now

If you are in distress, or you are worried about someone else, the services listed below can help you right now.

Crisis support and therapy are different work. Crisis services respond in the moment, at any hour, with emergency medicine and acute care behind them. Therapy is slower work, scheduled sessions over weeks or months, built for understanding long-standing patterns and changing them.

Brisbane City Psychologists provides therapy. Psychologists in private practice see people by appointment, and there can be a wait for a first appointment. We are not a crisis service.

Some people need both. One is not a substitute for the other.
